To accelerate research efforts at RIL, Reliance Research and Development Centre (RRDC) is established four years ago at the Reliance Corporate Park (RCP) in Navi Mumbai in addition to existing R&D facilities at Vadodara, Jamnagar, Hazira, and Patalganga. R&D Centre’s are recognized by Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Govt. of India. The RRDC is the central hub of research and new technologies. It is a world-class facility providing state-of-the-art equipment for hundreds of RIL’s scientists and engineers and broken new ground to develop game-changing products and technologies to add value to existing businesses and create new business opportunities. The development of advanced technologies, products, and application through innovative approaches is supporting the business to scale new heights. RRDC, Navi Mumbai laboratories are among the best equipped in India with an impressive array of advanced equipment (X-ray diffraction, mass spectrometers, chromatography, nuclear magnetic resonance, electron microscopes, infrared spectrometers, X-ray photoelectron spectrometers, rheometers, etc.). RRDC focuses on catalysis, chemistry, process engineering, modeling, simulation, advanced material science, synthetic biology, biotechnology, downstream polymer processing, reaction engineering, advanced analytical sciences, and product applications. R&D constant endeavor is to make products that have a positive impact on the environment and cater to consumer needs.
